Jennifer’s Family Law Practice focuses on litigation involving dissolutions, parenting plans/child custody, child support, relocations, modifications, paternity, college support, spousal maintenance, non-parental custody, military law and pre and post nuptial agreements.
Jennifer’s involvement in her husband’s twenty-year military career in the United States Army assists her in understanding the nuances of military life such as permanent change of station, leave and earnings, survivor benefits, pensions, and other military issues. Her real estate experience allows her to address real property issues that often arise in the context of dissolution cases. These may include zoning, land use and title issues as well as easement, leasing, boundary issues and other real property subjects.
Jennifer’s Civil Appellate Practice is enhanced by her first-hand knowledge of the appellate courts. Jennifer served as a law clerk to the Division II, Washington Court of Appeals in 1998 and has successfully advanced and defended many appeals in Washington courts including the Washington State Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals and the US District Court for the Western District of Washington.
Her published and unpublished opinions range from cases involving dissolutions and wills to real property and contracts.
Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys the outdoors, golfing, reading, movies and watching her children’s sporting activities.
